Norfield was started in March of 1969 in Lynn, Massachusetts by two Liberty Mutual claims supervisors who believed that a quality investigation would reduce settlement costs. This philosophy quickly earned them an ever expanding client base.

Next came offices in Framingham, Springfield, and Braintree, Massachusetts. Then came Fall River and Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Chelmsford handled New Hampshire claims.  The Fall River office lead to a Providence office and the Springfield office lead to a Rocky Hill (Hartford ) Connecticut office. Today we have more than 45 people handling claims for more than 200 insurance companies all over New England.

At Norfield we handle third party casualty claims. The most common third party claim is an automobile accident. Our job is to gather facts through interviewing and scene investigations and attempt to determine the degree of responsibility for which our client’s insured is liable.

Simply put, our client’s insured gets in an auto accident. We try to assess the percentage of fault that is his or hers. We then determine the damages, from both property damage and bodily injury and attempt to settle the claim. Norfield handles a wide variety of claims including auto accidents, home owners liability claims (the dog bites the mail man), workers compensation, errors and omissions, and medical malpractice.
